This year's ASO Valentine's Day concert is one of the highlights of the season. Justin Brown will be back in Birmingham for his favorite series, The Wells Fargo Classical EDGE, and he will conduct the world premiere of an ASO-commissioned work by Judd Greenstein. New Yorker Judd Greenstein is part of a 30-something generation of composers with rigorous musical training from top programs and a great love for everything in Pop culture. Mr. Greenstein's work is about atmosphere, energy and sound. He has been described as the leader of "a new New York school, high on amped-up minimalism, percussion-heavy beats, shimmering textures, loops, drones, and washes of electronic color." Join us for a Valentine's Day unlike any other, and remember the name Judd Greenstein ... you'll be hearing it again in the future.

Mr. Greenstein is our Sound Investment Composer for the 2012-2013 Season. You can be part of the Sound Investment program and see the composition process up close in a series of intimate get-togethers with Mr. Greenstein and fellow music lovers. Click here for more information.
