In commemoration of Black History Month and the opening of the Alabama Symphony Orchestra's inaugural "Momentum Symposium for Future Music Professionals," the ASO's Celebration of Black History program includes a narration of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr's Letter from a Birmingham Jail and Aaron Copland's Lincoln Portrait narrated by NBC-13 WVTM's morning news anchor, Carla Wade. Join us on your lunch break for the poignant tribute concluding with Birmingham native, Brian Nabor's composition: Letters from Birmingham. Admission is FREE and open to the public! Food Trucks will also be on-site after this 12pm concert at the Alys Stephens Center Jemison Concert Hall.
