Bill Williams

Bill Williams joined the Alabama Symphony Orchestra in 1981 after graduating from the Eastman School of Music. While at Eastman, Mr. Williams studied with John Beck, performed and recorded with the Eastman Wind Ensemble, and was honored with the Alida and William Street percussion scholarship. Bill has been a featured soloist on both the Masterworks and SuperPops! Series. He also recorded Russell Peck's percussion concerto, The Glory and the Grandeur, with the Alabama Symphony Orchestra (Albany, Troy-040).

Bill enjoys hiking in Oak Mountain, Ruffner Mountain, and Red Mountain Parks with his wife Denise. He appreciates Birmingham’s rich history and envisions a bright future for the Magic City!
