David HandlerSecond Violin
David Handler began his study of music at the age of six on piano, and later took up violin "for fun." He studied at the Indiana University School of Music, the Cleveland Institute of Music, and Meadowmount. Mr. Handler joined the Alabama Symphony Orchestra in 1977 as its youngest member at the time. In 1997, he was appointed to the position of Assistant Principal Second Violin, where he performed until stepping down in 2017.
In the summertime Mr. Handler escapes the Alabama heat and plays in the New Hampshire Music Festival Orchestra.
