Hillary HortonAssistant Principal Flute
Flutist Hillary Horton joined the Alabama Symphony in 2013 at the age of 20. A native of Washington, DC, Hillary earned her Bachelor of Music in Flute Performance from Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois. Her primary teachers include Walfrid Kujala, John Thorne, Aaron Goldman, and Richard Graef.
When not performing, Hillary enjoys lifting weights, long-distance running, and taking advantage of Birmingham's abundance of hiking trails.
