Double Bass

Nick joined the Double Bass section of the Alabama Symphony in the fall of 2019. Prior to joining the ASO, Nick studied with Jeffrey Turner and completed one year of a Performance Diploma in Orchestral Studies at The Jacobs School of Music at Indiana University. Additionally, Nick earned his Masters Degree in Music Performance, with an Outside Area in Music Theory at Indiana University studying with Bruce Bransby. He completed his first two years of Undergraduate study at Kennesaw State University studying with Douglas Sommer and Joseph McFadden  before transferring to Indiana University where he studied with Bruce Bransby and graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Music Performance with High Distinction. He has also attended the Aspen Music Festival and School and the National Orchestral Institute. 

Nick is an adjunct faculty member at the University of North Alabama and a substitute musician with the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra and the Rochester Philharmonic. In his free time, Nick enjoys reading, exercising, and spending time with his dog, Lulu.
