A program sponsored by the Symphony Volunteer Council of the Alabama Symphonic Association, Inc.

The Lois Pickard Scholarship Competition is open to serious and gifted young musicians ages 12 through seniors in high school. Students of strings, brass, winds, percussion, and piano are eligible to enter in one category only. Entrants must be legal U.S. residents and reside in one of the following states: Alabama, Georgia, Florida, Mississippi, & Tennessee.

Previous First Place winners may reenter after a 2 year absence.

The winners must be available to perform for the Lois Pickard Scholarship Award Luncheon on Thursday, February 29, 2024 at Vestavia Country Club. This is the time that scholarships are awarded.
