Hear Rachmaninoff’s Second Piano Concerto – a masterpiece weaving together the pianist and orchestra – performed by Van Cliburn Silver Medalist and UAB Distinguished Professor of Piano Yakov Kasman. The ASO also performs Stravinsky’s groundbreaking Petrushka.

Peer Gynt & Polovtsian Dances

Journey to Norway with Grieg’s beloved Peer Gynt suites, featuring In the Hall of the Mountain King. The ASO Chorus performs in Borodin’s Polovtsian Dances and Brahms’ Nanie.

Tchaikovsky's Fourth Symphony

Don’t miss Tchaikovsky’s fourth symphony, which shows the full range of the orchestra’s virtuosity: from bombastic passages to flowing lyricism. The orchestra revisits Forest Dark and Stars Above, a piece written for the ASO.
