The Alabama Symphony Orchestra Women's Board (previously called Symphony 30) is a volunteer organization made up of women in the community who support the Orchestra's music education programs and community outreach. The main goals of the Women's Board include:

1. Planning and fundraising for Symphony in the Gardens, the ASO's annual community picnic and free concert at the Birmingham Botanical gardens;

2. Increasing community support for the ASO's education outreach, which serves thousands of students and hundreds of schools across Alabama each season; and

3. Bringing new audiences to community and education events and engaging with the Orchestra through social events and concerts throughout the season.

Members are expected to participate in hosting and volunteering at Symphony in the Gardens, which is held on the last Sunday of September every year. If members are unable to attend the event, they can contribute to the fundraising and planning efforts. Annual dues cover membership as well as several benefits of being an important supporter of the Orchestra.
