General Ticket Policy
- Individual ticket purchases are final; ASO does not offer refunds.
- While ASO does not offer refunds, patrons may contact the ASO with questions, and we will do our best to assist when possible.
- If you are unable to attend a concert, tickets are transferable to another person. Patrons may give their tickets to a friend or resell them for no more than face value, subject to venue policies.
- Tickets to Masterworks concerts may be exchanged for the alternate night of the same performance if notification is made to the Alys Stephens Center box office 48 hours before the performance (Call 205-975-2787) or by contacting the ASO Patron Experience Manager at fdaniels@alabamasymphony.org.
- Credit will be issued in the event of a cancellation initiated by ASO. In such cases, patrons will be eligible to receive credit that can be applied towards another performance during the same season.
- Ticket purchases are final; ASO does not offer refunds.
- Ticket purchases for concerts may not be exchanged for another concert at a later time.
- Unused tickets are considered a donation to the ASO.*
- Exchanges may not be available less than 24 hours before the concert.
- No exchanges will be made after a performance.
*Tickets may be returned to the ASC Box Office 48 hours before the scheduled concert in exchange for a donation letter. However, refunds will not be offered, and tickets cannot be converted into donations after the concert.

Masterworks Subscriber Options & Flexibility
(Coffee, Applause, Bravo, Masterworks, and Platinum Subscriptions)
- Subscription tickets to Masterworks concerts may be exchanged for account credit toward another eligible classical performance, including all Masterworks concerts, Concertmaster & Friends, or classical concerts at another venue. Subscribers may contact the ASO with questions regarding other classical concerts, and we will do our best to assist when possible.
- Exchange requests must be made at least 48 hours before the performance. Exchanges are not guaranteed less than 24 hours before a concert.
- Credit may be used to move between performances and seating options, subject to availability and any price difference.
- Subscribers may give their tickets to a friend if they are unable to attend.
- Subscribers may donate their tickets for student use through our ASO Angel Program when notification is provided in advance. These tickets are placed on hold for college students and are used whenever possible. These donated tickets are a tax-deductible donation equal to the ticket price.
- Subscribers may release their seats for resale and place the value as credit on their account when eligible.
- If no action is taken before the start of the concert, unused tickets have no benefit and are not counted as a personal donation. Subscribers cannot retroactively apply the ticket’s value as a credit to their account.
- Subscription tickets to Masterworks concerts and Concertmaster & Friends cannot be exchanged for SuperPOPS!, Special Events, or any performance at BJCC or Samford’s Wright Center.
- Funds on your Alabama Symphony Orchestra account may be used toward any eligible concert within the same season (ending May 31), and a box office representative can help confirm which concerts are eligible. These funds are referred to as on-account funds. Any unused on-account funds after July 1 will be donated to the Alabama Symphony Orchestra.
- SuperPOPS! Bundle tickets are not eligible for exchanges and transfers.
- SuperPOPS! Bundle ticket holders may give their tickets to a friend if they are unable to attend.
- SuperPOPS! Bundle ticket holders may donate their tickets for student use with 24-hour advance notice. Donated tickets are placed on hold for college students and are used whenever possible. These donated tickets are a tax-deductible donation equal to the ticket price.
- SuperPOPS! Bundle ticket holders are eligible for a 10% discount on any additional ASO concert ticket purchases.

Please note: Some large-scale events and performances are held at other venues and are ticketed through separate box office systems. ASO patron accounts are not affiliated with these systems; therefore, these tickets are not eligible for exchange, credit, refunds, or donation through ASO.
The Create Your Own (CYO) Orchestra Experience offers a flexible and personalized way to enjoy the Symphony. With CYO, you can design your ideal season by selecting the performances that fit your interests and schedule in advance—perfect for patrons who prefer to plan ahead and prefer to secure their favorite seat. A minimum of three (3) performances is required to create your custom series.
- CYO concert choices are final. CYO experiences are designed for patrons who prefer to select their concerts in advance and reserve their favorite seats in the concert hall.
- Once selected and purchased, CYO tickets are not eligible for exchanges, transfers, or account credit.
- CYO ticket holders may give their tickets to a friend if they are unable to attend.
- CYO ticket holders may donate their tickets for student use through our ASO Angel Program when notification is provided in advance. Donated tickets are placed on hold for college students and are used whenever possible. These donated tickets are a tax-deductible donation equal to the ticket price.

Concert venue doors open 60 minutes before the start time. The doors into the concert hall open 30 minutes before the start time. To preserve the musical experience for everyone, latecomers will be seated at the discretion of the house management. Late seating is not permitted while the musicians are playing. Latecomers are not guaranteed to be seated in their ticketed seats until intermission.
Audio and video recording is strictly prohibited at Alabama Symphony Orchestra concerts. Anyone violating this policy will have their device confiscated and their files deleted and returned after the concert. All mobile phones and other electronic devices must be silenced during the performance.
The Alabama Symphony Orchestra will only cancel in cases of severe weather. If the concert is canceled due to severe weather, ticket holders will receive an email and/or text message to transfer their tickets to a future symphony concert in the current season.
