Young People's Concert: The Trumpet of the Swan

Based on the beloved novel by E. B. White, The Trumpet of the Swan: A Novel Symphony brings Louis’s story to life through orchestral music by Tony Award winner Jason Robert Brown and a stage adaptation by Pulitzer Prize winner Marsha Norman. Louis is a trumpeter swan born without a voice — but with courage, creativity, and the help of a devoted friend, he finds his own way to be heard.

This family-friendly concert introduces young audiences to the orchestra through one of literature’s most enduring coming-of-age stories, performed by the Alabama Symphony Orchestra for Birmingham-area families and school groups.
