Explorer Episodes: Dancing and Connecting through Alabama with the Symphony
Dr. Rob Lyda of Cary Woods Elementary guided teachers through cross-curricular lesson plans using interactive video recordings of the Alabama Symphony Orchestra. Through Johann Strauss' Blue Danube Waltz and Tritsch Tratsch Polka, he connects to significant moments and places in Alabama's History and compares and contrasts the two musical forms of dance. (These lesson plans were developed for K-6th Grade.)
